책을 쓸 때마다 떠올리는 사람이 있습니다.
한 명은 아직 자라지 않은 어린 저이고
한 명은 저의 딸입니다.
그들과 닮은 아이들에게 제가 만든 그림책을 전해주고 싶습니다.
어깨동무를 함께하고 싶습니다.
There are two people who come to mind every time I write a book.
One is my younger self, who has not yet grown up,
and the other is my daughter.
I want to share the picture books I have created with children who resemble them.
I want to walk shoulder to shoulder with them.

I am creating picture books by uncovering things that have been hidden in the corners of my mind for a long time.
mactles@naver.com대학에서 시각디자인을 전공하고 대학원에서 일러스트레이션을 공부했습니다. 디자이너로 활동하다 늦게 그림책을 시작했고, 주로 자기 경험을 씨앗으로 그림책을 만들고 있습니다.

I majored in visual design at university and studied illustration at graduate school. After working as a designer, I started creating picture books later in life, primarily using my own experiences as inspiration.
My published works include 『It's the Same』, 『How to Eat Fun』, 『The Drawing Detective Squad』, 『Dad Goes to the Pool』, 『Dad Goes to the Playground』, 『Assembly King Jang Yeol』, 『Stray Dog Young Nam』, 『What Am I Good At?』, 『It's Natural to Be Afraid』, 『Facial Expression Practice』, and 『Words I Want to Hear』.
